Hi, I'm Jen.

I am currently an Executive Director of Strategy & Insights at VMLY&R. My career spans over 15 years in London and New York, where I've explored the many flavors of strategy, giving me plenty of crossover strategic experience. I've had the pleasure of working on world-class brands where I got to land insights and put people at the center of ideas. The results are often transformed brands, designs, experiences, and ultimately businesses. 

 

Most recently, my fascination with technology led me to work with brands like Google, Dell Technologies, and Intel. On Dell Technologies specifically, I headed up global brand strategy, working across their enterprise, consumer, small business, employer, and social responsibility verticals. I've also worked a decent amount with emerging start-up brands to help them scale. Whether it's getting a budding fintech on the map or launching a new sensor technology, I can help these brands tell simple stories around these technology brands to demonstrate their potential and unlock growth. 

 

I also often find myself gravitating to purpose-oriented work, sparking projects that I feel ethically aligned with. As a feminist, I've helped the Miss America Organization get rid of and relaunch without the bikini competition, which objectified women. As a former caregiver, I've helped bring technology clients to patients suffering from motor neuron disease to help them overcome barriers to banking their voice with AI before their illness takes it. I've also helped shift the narrative coming from mom and baby brands to finally have some honesty around healing both physically and emotionally new mothers' experience during post-partum. All of this work existed to create a positive impact for people and brands alike. 

 

In addition to my work as a practitioner, I've publishes academically on creativity, brand equity building, and digital strategy. My original research has previously appeared in The Journal of Advertising Research and in 2019, she was awarded the honor of “academic paper of the year" from the ARF.

 

I'm a passionate team builder, nurturing up-and-coming strategic talent with an honest and hands-on approach. When you get to know me, you'll quickly realize I am an extrovert, highly analytical, passionate about life, and yet a bit of a wandering soul.
